Past Simple

• akce, která se stala a skončila v minulosti
• Složení - sloveso + ed (pravidelná slovesa), 2. sloupec (Nepravidelná slovesa)
• Příklady
  • I walked to the store.
  • Did he went there?
  • They did not train.
  • He ate dinner.

Past Continuous

• průběžná akce, která se stala v určitém momentě v minulosti
• Složení - “to be” v minulém čase + sloveso v -ing tvaru
• Příklady
  • I was working.
  • He wasn’t eating.
  • Were they there?

Past Perfect

• akce, která se stala před určitým momentem v minulosti
• Složení - “had” + sloveso + ed (pravidelná slovesa), 2. sloupec (Nepravidelná slovesa)
• Příklady
  • She has already finished her work when he came.
  • We hadn’t started working before the email arrived.
  • Had they gone out?

Past Perfect Continuous

• akce, která začala před určitým momentem a stále pokračovala při pozdějším určitém momentu
• akce, která v daný moment v minulosti už není, ale ještě nedávno byla
  • Příklad - The baby’s face was red and wet. He had been crying.
• Složení - “had” + “been” + sloveso -ing
• Příklady
  • We hadn’t been working.
  • Had she been trying to open the door?
